Meet Information
09-14-25
Hello parents. Your kids were beyond inspiring at our last meet. Both of our teams fought hard
for their victories and proved themselves once again. Our knights know how to dig deep when
it counts!
Here is a quick letter highlighting all the fun plans for our last week of CMS Cross Country.
9/15 Monday:
Normal Practice 2:15-3:45 p.m. - Championship Course preview with 4 X 60-90 seconds at
race pace.
9/16 Tuesday:
Practice and Pizza Party 2:15-3:45 p.m. - Light 15 minute jog and accelerations. Followed by
pizza. Don’t worry… we won’t load them down the day before the championship race, it will
be more of a pizza treat. : )
9/17 Wednesday:
Championship Races at CHS. Students will be excused to change and or meet at CMS at 2
p.m. Then, we will walk over to the high school. Please remember to park only in designated
areas. No parking in the bus lot, do not block fire hydrants, handicap parking, or park other
cars in. All mis-parked vehicles will be towed. If you are able, please park at the middle school
and walk over to the high school.
Girls’ Championship race - 3 p.m.
Boys’ Championship race - 3:45 p.m.

Awards will be given to the top 10 racers in 6th, 7th and 8th grade for both boys and girls.
There will also be overall team awards. Please try to have your child stay for awards so we can
get photos with our entire team.
We will be collecting uniforms after the meet. Please bring a shirt to change into so that we can get your uniform.
9/18 Thursday:
No Practice.
9/19 Friday:
No Practice
9/20 Saturday:
Chugiak Mustang Smokin’ Stampede 5K - Boys 10 a.m. Girls 10:40 a.m. This is an unofficial
middle school meet as it is outside of our district. However, if you are interested in competing,
let Coach Marvin know via text or email, by the evening of Tuesday, September 16th. I will get
you signed up and will meet you at the Chugiak XC Course in the am to give you your bib and
help with race warm up. (I plan to be there by 9 a.m.) Parents must provide transportation and
supervision at this event. It is a fun race to try the 5K distance and get to compete with the
open high school athletes as well as middle schoolers from the Chugiak area.
It has been a great season. Thank you all for your support and sharing your amazing kids with
us.
Warmly,
Coaches Marvin, Camargo, Miles and Nisbet
