7th and 8th Grade Boys Basketball
Tryouts are September 19-20, 4:00pm-5:30pm. Any player that is not selected for the 7th or 8th grade A-team will have the opportunity to play for the C-team.

Greetings 7th and 8th Grade Basketball Parents and Families,
Welcome to the 2024 7th and 8th grade boys’ basketball season. I wanted to take a minute to reach out and clarify a few things for you as we embark on a new season.
We will be using BAND as our primary means of communication. Please use the QR code at the bottom of the page to join. I will also do my best to keep the website up to date, although with the district switching to a new website, this has become more challenging. You will find a link for the website at the bottom of the page.
Game times will depend on the host school. Most of the other schools we play have two gyms so the 7th grade boys will play at 3:00pm in the secondary gym and the 8th grade boys will play after the 8th grade girls in the primary gym usually around 4:00pm or so at schools like Wasilla, Teeland, and Palmer. Away game such as Grace and ACS will vary depending on how those schools decide to run the game and whether they use multiple gyms. When we have home games, the 7th grade boys will play after the 7th grade girls sometime after 4:00pm and the 8th grade boys will be the last game of the night after the 8th grade girls, usually starting sometime after 6:00pm. Our 7th grade girls will start at 3:00 and the rest of the teams will play after the previous game, times are fluid.
Practice will be every day, 5:00-6:30pm for the next four weeks and 3:30-5:00pm for the last four weeks of the season. The only days that we will not have practice is if there is a game scheduled, no school, or activities scheduled in our gym.
For our 5:00-6:30pm slot, players need go home after school, unless prior arrangements have been made, and need to be back and dressed and ready to start warm-ups by 4:35pm at the latest. For our 3:30-5:00pm slot, players need to stay after school, unless a parent requests them to leave. We will be doing chalk and teambuilding in room 209 before practice.
